This is a short profile piece on Chadwick Boseman that was written shortly after his death. This article, written for the online magazine 'Soul Vision,' briefly tells the reader about how Boseman influenced society with his career field and how his legacy continues to live on.

HAMPTON UNIVERSITY'S ANNUAL HOMECOMING PARADE

2019

On a bright and clear Saturday morning Hampton University, regional and local organizations gather at Hampton City Hall to prepare for the annual Homecoming parade. Hampton University gathered multiple organizations within their campus, city, and state for this parade.
This includes but is not limited to: Virginia State Marching Band, Petersburg Highschool Marching Band, Booker T. Washington marching band, Phoebus Highschool marching band, Israel United in Christ, Impact Dancing Company, KNK Dancing Company, Indian tribe and Chieftain, HU psychology department, Hampton Players, HU Student Affairs, HU alumni association, HU Treasurer’s staff, HU pre-med college, HU marching band,  William R. Harvey Leadership Institute, HU Pre-Alumni Council, HU Army ROTC, Masonic Temple #122, Miss Virginia, Ms. Hampton, Mr. Pirate, Tidewater Corvette Club, El Camino club, etc.

BROADCAST NEWS PACKAGE (SCRIPT)

April 2021

In December 2019, 2nd Lieutenant Nazario was pulled over at a gas station in Windsor, Virginia over a missing license plate. This traffic stop became violent when officers pepper sprayed Nazario and dragged him out of his car for not complying, all while Nazario was in uniform.  A video of the incident stoked public outrage when it was released in April 2021. This is a broadcast news package (script) about the anger this incident caused.

BEGINNING OF ACT 1 OF AN ORIGINAL TELE-SCREENPLAY

November 2018

This is a short part of a script for a teleplay. The script is called "People of the Cloth" and centers around a Pink Floyd Shirt as it gets passed around from person to person over the years. The script was heavily inspired by the music and themes of the late 1960s and early1970s.

HURRICANE DORIAN BRINGS BAHAMIAN STUDENTS TO HAMPTON UNIVERSITY

December 2019

When Hurricane Dorian struck the Bahamas in 2019 many University of the Bahamas students were displaced from their homes and school. In order to help, Hampton University's sitting president, William Harvey, offered to take in 100 bahamian students and give them free tuition, room and board. In an exclusive interview with the Director of Hampton University's Relations.

The Tide is the first light rail to ever be built and operated in the Virginia Commonwealth and it's been making headlines over a possible expansion. CHICKEN FINGERS ON THE RUN

March 2022

This is a solo story about a popular local restaurant in Hampton Roads. Black and white Old Dominion University students unite in their opposition to the closing of a beloved chicken restaurant, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, a mainstay on campus since 2016.
